The historic paddock is the oldest unchanged pit stop area of any racing circuit still in existence. World-wide, unique, authentic, historic. On 30 April and 1 May 2011 we will be celebrating the reopening!
Completed in 1927 on the original opening of the Nürburgring, the arrangement of more than 50 vehicle paddocks in a right angled direction has become a synonym for a paddock system: The historic paddock at the Nürburgring is a motor racing heritage site … a high octane place that has a legendary past … On 30 April and 1 May 2011, the historic paddock dating from 1927 will be reopened during an international weekend of celebrations and returned to its original 'pure' purpose.
