What to expect from a race viewing facility which costs US $250 million?
An elegant, futuristic and very impressive circuit with world class race viewing opportunities. With sweeping curves and long straights, with hairpin turns, making for an exciting event. China planned the Grand Prix track in Shanghai as a showcase statement to demonstrate that the country had arrived as a player on the world stage.
The Shanghai International Circuit has raised the bar of state-of-the-art race viewing facilities and impresses as a spectacular venue. The layout draws praise from F1 drivers, whilst the grandstand and spectators are equally first class.
The race staged first in 2004 and it is rumoured that 2010 will be the last Formula One Grand Prix for some time hosted by the sleepless world city Shanghai.
