The FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix is annually held in Albert Park, Melbourne. Only 4 km from the city centre the race track is very accessible and located in a wonderful, relaxed park setting.

Character-filled neighbourhoods, such as Fitzroy, St Kilda Beach and Carlton are buzzing with life and are creators of some great Australian art, music, cuisine and fashion. People from Melbourne are so devoted to sport and outdoor lifestyle. This lets them go crazy about the Football League Finals, Spring Racing Carnival celebrations and of course, the Australian Formula One Grand Prix.

Melburnians love to shop, eat and attend the myriad festivals that the city offers. The city’s temperamental weather is certainly not for the faint-hearted, and if you’ve ever experienced Melbourne’s inclination to plummet from searing heat to drizzling rain in the space of an hour, you’ll understand that this must be the true definition of unconditional love.

In 2010 the race will start at 5pm. A perfect excuse to enjoy Melbourne with a sunny, open air breakfast or a bit of sightseeing on the beach. This year the ever popular V8 Supercars will return in an exciting new format complementing the Celebrity Challenge and the Who live in concert. Off circuit is carnival atmosphere leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.
